Shatter Me

This pretty little Ballerina was inspired by none other than the music video and song collaboration between Lzzy Hale and Lindsey Sterling.  I used the Princess-Maker on Doll Divine to re-create the ballerina: www.dolldivine.com/princess-ma…

The song is about a ballerina that lives in a snowglobe and spends every day spinning around, playing her violin.  A steampunk mechanic works in the music box below her.  But the ballerina is curious about the world outside her globe.  At the same time, she's frightened of what might happen if she breaks free of her globe.  Will she too shatter into a million pieces?  So the song is about her inner conflict of leaving her comfort zone versus exploring the unknown world outside her globe.  But slowly she gains courage and literally fiddles her way out.  The image here is based on the end of the video, when she finds herself in a beautiful meadow surrounded by mountains, and she's free.
