We've all heard of the Queen of Hearts on Alice in Wonderland
, but are there Queens of the other symbols in the card deck too? I made this using the Pixie Scene-maker www.dolldivine.com/pixie-scene…
to find out. I'm sure you can recognize the Queen of Hearts on the far left. The only reason she hasn't beheaded everyone in Wonderland was because her mild-mannered husband was quietly pardoning people behind her back (or so the original book says).
The Queen of Clubs is next. I portrayed her as an even bigger nutcase than her sister, for she wants to club
people (get it?
). Her kingdom would probably be very savage and barbaric compared to the Queen of Hearts' court.
The Queen of Diamonds is next. She would probably be very decadent & not care about anything but the red and white diamonds that make her little kingdom rich. (I couldn't quite find any diamonds in the drag-and-drop, but I liked the little cone-shaped jewels available, so I used those instead).
The Queen of Spades didn't quite turn out the way I'd hoped. I wanted her to be wearing an early Tudor outfit (like you see on traditional decks of cards), but the Pixie scene-maker isn't quite designed for Renaissance fashions. She supposed to be wearing an early English Tudor headdress, but it's not quite the shape I got. So I improvised with the pretty flower dresses available. The Queen of Spades would have a similar personality to the White Queen in the 2010 Alice in Wonderland
film: kind-hearted, but not quite sane. However, she's more trustworthy than the other 3 Queens.
